Weekend Replay

Sep 01, 2003 01:02

Well long and not too exciting weekend. Jason, TJ, Margo and I went to the football game. Tech hammered SMU 38 to 3 by the 3rd quarter. We left around then because it was getting pretty cold and about 2:45 had already elapsed. Jason and TJ had left already to get wasted before the half so I stuck with Margo to watch the game for a little while longer. I had a good time talking to her, I was a little nervous and I'd like to hang out with her again sometime. It's weird because we went to the same highschool, had the same friends, talked online occasionally and I didnt meet her untill about mid-summertime.

Today my dad came into town. He brought up all of my paintball stuff, my pillows and some other assorted items. Jason, my dad, and I went shopping and by the end of the day I had some wood to level out the area between the window sill and the shelf area, a nice sony surround sound system, and 64 bottles of water. Later, Jason and I bought the necessary wires after scouring through 2 wal-marts and driving around for about 30 minutes looking for an open electronics store. Jason started off on his "whiskey drinks" had about 3 and took off for Grahms.

Today Martha got pretty mad at me. If you read this (which you probably dont) I'm sorry again.

Classes start in about 34 hours, I'm pretty excited. Sitting around playing video games is getting pretty boring. I'm ready to meet some new people, study, and do some work. I feel like my determination has increased drastically since I have real long term goals that require me to do well.

Our room is almost complete, it is starting to look fucking awesome. I'll take pictures when its finished, I promise!

Even though our room is cool, I hate the dorms. Drunk idiots piss everywhere, in the halls, the stairs, the elevators, it is fucking gross. Today I exposed my dad to all of it and hopefully he is more convinced to purchase a house for next year. I'm trying to convince him, and I think its working but the major cockblock is still in the way, my mom. They need to realize its an investment. Homes in lubbock are increasing in value since they are tearing the ghettos down. I'll be here for at least another 4 years. That would saved them about 6 grand a year in housing, a whoping 24 thousand dollars, plus what they could charge room mates to break even on the house, the bills and the taxes and most likely make money on them. It is a perfectly sound business opportunity but I guess I still have some more work cut out for me.

Well enough babbling.

Bye
