But first, the latest dinner experiment: pork loin, brined for 2 days (water, salt, sugar, garlic, black pepper, bay leaves). In the oven at 250, glaze with jalapeño, honey and butter. Increase temperature to 400 for the last 10 minutes.
I have been frighteningly productive (for me, at least) this weekend. My bedroom floor (well, most of it) is visible for the first time in I don't know how long. The bathroom's clean. The kitchen's clean. I filled the trunk of my car with stuff and brought it all to Goodwill, and probably thrown out even more than that. I did laundry--I've even started putting it away--and in a little while, I'm gonna vacuum while dinner is cooking. I meant to do maybe three of these things tops last weekend, but then it was 100 degrees, so I said fuck it.
I don't know where the hell all this energy came from, but I'm not complaining.
