I just got home after dropping my car off. I'll walk back in the morning to pick it up, as they said it'd be done by then. There was too much damage to the sidewall for the tire to be fixed, so I have to get a new one.
They didn't try to talk me into getting all new tires, which is good; I've got barely any miles on this car and I know my tires are in good shape. My alignment is another story, so I told them to go ahead and do that while they were at it. Hell, I've known I needed to get that taken care of for a while now.
Looks like it'll be about $200. Fine, whatever; it could totally be worse. Damn unforseen expenses.
ETA: Fuck a duck, did I lose my absentee ballot again?!?
