Managed to get some sleep last night, but I'm still waking myself up coughing every hour or so. Ran out of cough drops last night, and discovered after some fruitless searching at 4 am that there was NOTHING suckable in the entire house. (That would help my cough, anyway.) Got to work about 11 this morning to find (not really surprisngly) that being the lightest one, it was my turn to go up in the chair. Not a medieval torture device (barely), the chair attaches to a focus track and is how we focus above scenery that we can't put a Genie on. Being the lightest mean less out-of-weight-ness when flying me up to a height that they can reach to get weight on the arbor, so it takes fewer people hauling on the lineset and is less dangerous that sending a heavy person up. Still, there's nothing quite like being strapped to a piece of wood and hoisted forty feet in the air to make one wish one were back in bed. Now we're on dinner break, and that part of the day is done, so I should at least be on my own two feet for the rest of the evening. Hopefully tonight I'll be able to get some decent sleep, and tomorrow night Quills opens, and then I tech Feel Good Hits, and then Major Barbara, and then it's monday.
Really fucking tired of being sick, though. Am ready to surgically remove my lungs and replace them with a set that work.
too much tech,
sick
