Un petit d'un petit
My boss now tells me that I should have stacked my concrete slabs leaning inwards thusly:

instead of foolishly stacking them against the low brick wall between the garden and the driveway

We woke this morning to find the low brick wall was rather lower, and on the driveway, rather than between it and the garden

Since it was raining the proverbial, I decided to go to work and think about the problem. After lunch, it was looking less threatening, weather wise, and so I decided to go home, tidy up a little (the driveway is shared) and then come back. Of course, it started raining again on the way there, but I did manage an hour of brickshifting in the relatively good weather, so we now have a brickheap behind the shed. Still only managed half the wall though.
I'm glad we had already taken the decision to demolish this one, although we weren't planning on planting the box until next year.
