She’s staring at him with wide eyes from across the room, where Adam Digsby is swaying them side to side amidst the glinting tinsel. He’d asked her to the Ball before anybody else, and she hadn’t had the heart to say ‘no’.
But now she is mouthing ‘help me’, and Severus is cutting across the dance floor in his ill fitting robes and whisking her away.
She stops halfway across the grounds and shucks off her silly heels, plunging along with Severus into the mist.
They sit together in the darkness until they can sneak back inside without being seen.
