NEWS: Golden retriever adopts tiger cubs (CUTE pic too!)
I felt so squeeful when I read this article today! :D It's about a goldren retriever who had just weaned her litter of puppies, then decided to foster a trio of newborn tiger cubs whose mother abandoned them. :(
It's an easy read, and includes a sweet photo! My one negative comment is about the quote given by the guy who owns the dog and who runs the zoological park. He claims his dog "doesn't know the difference". HUH?? Just because she lets the tiger cubs nurse, and just because she licks/cleans them and treats them with love, doesn't mean she thinks they're puppies! Dogs are extremely smart, not to mention intuitive -- how on earth could she not notice that these animals are different from her own puppies? The beauty of it, is that she DOESN'T CARE! :) :)
This reminds me of the even more squeeful story of Finnegan the squirrel being nursed and mothered by a Papillon dog who had just given birth. It doesn't get much cuter than a baby squirrel cuddling with puppies! :D
