Seriously, this attitude annoys the HECK out of me!! Snaps leave ugly little bumps on the backs of the doll clothes. Stuff that's supposed to fit more snugly just does BETTER with Velcro. What's worse is, the only flat snaps I've seen [and the buggers are HARD to get a hold of, so far the only source I've seen of those have been from JAPAN] are plastic, so they would probably be totally unacceptable too...because they aren't metal snaps.
Really, it's like to some of these people, it's not quality unless it has metal snaps in it...something that really does have to be sewn by hand [at least I don't know any tricks of how to do it on a machine]. Velcro, I guess, is "cheap" because the cheaper fashions and such have Velcro.
It wouldn't surprise me if some of these people snap up AZONE outfits just because AZONE is a Japanese company...even though *they* use Velcro.
Me? I've been a doll collector for a LONG time, and I do redress...some of my dolls. Even so, give me the Velcro, if it makes the outfit look nicer on the doll!!
