So this week-end, I tried the RIT method to re-pink a vintage Jem/Jerrica whose pink hair had faded to white over time.
Only, being a GENIUS, not only did I manage to get the dye on the blonde parts of the hair, but I didn't dilute the dye enough so it was VERY VERY PINK, darker than I wanted. Cue me then using boiling water to try and "remove" some of the dye. However, I've decided to repaint her eyes blue as a "Cartoon Jem" and make the best of it :) Also, some of the blonde hair didn't get as saturated as the rest, so then I touched it up with the Fabricmate pen. Here are the results!
I actually am counting it as a happy accident at the moment :) But I'm also saving the RIT dye solution since I made WAY too much, and will hopefully be able to re-heat it/reuse it later, to re-pink other Jem/Jerricas.
