It's ages since I posted; far too busy actually living to spend time reporting upon it. I'd better use some cut thingies to protect the bored from my life.

Turkey is said to be a fascinating place! And if you ever do get tired of monging in the lap of luxury there are bound to be excursions into Constantinople, off to Ephesus or down to the taverna, whichever's local!

Here's to your honeymoon:-)

Yep. Ephesus is too far from the bit of Turkey we are in unfortunately, but excursions to Perge, Aspendos & Kursunlu, Pamukkale, and Side are all on offer. And we could always get a hire car.

Just checked out Side as I had never heard of it - apparently it was the secret rendezvous place of Antony and Cleopatra! How romantic is that?

We also baulked at the heat thing in Egypt and are off to Rome instead. Sorting out wedding present lists is entertaining, we spent an hour this weekend wandering around a big shop going "we'll have one of those".

Rome is lovely; we spent an day there last year as it was one of the stopoff points for our cruise. You'll have a great time! Is yours September also?
