I had to go to the dentist this morning to have an abcess drained. This is not a good thing.
It's the first time I've had a dentist put some kind of tarpaulin arrangement in my mouth "to isolate the tooth" They put a clamp on the tooth and then stretch a piece of rubber over the clamp. It was a bit like being the base of a trampoline.
In actual fact the title is unfair as I have a very nice dentist, who is totally gentle. Otherwise I couldn't cope. But I'm still a bit wah, wah about it all.
However, the worst is now over, the temporary filling is in place, and provided the infection doesn't return by next Thursday, they will put filling in place and it's all over. However, currently I still have the big lump in my gum that sent me running to the dentist in the first place; which is a bit worrying.
