I've fallen in the habit of only posting either to communicate something specific, or to capture something that I want to remember.

This is one of the latter.

Ah. That would make you "pussycat-with-foot-in-mouth" then?

Yeah, it was cool once I worked out who you were. I was totally baffled at first.

Will no doubt see you at Easter. Our tent tends to be one of the warmest spots onsite due largely to press of bodies, and cats gravitate to the warm, right?

That would be very kind. We tend to be pretty organised when it comes to dressing our tent, but if you are there early enough to help with erecting the monstrosity, then extra hands are always welcome. Bill has upgraded us from our previous 3 pole monster to an even bigger 4 pole tent, so the more the merrier on rope holding and peg bashing duties.

Candle lanterns are sold cheaply all over the place at about a fiver a pop

B&Q?

Ikea?

www.candlesontheweb.co.uk do some classics that start at a fiver.

Ebay as usual range from stupidly cheap to ridiculously overpriced.

Best source really depends on whether you want to walk into a shop, or have them delivered. You are unlikely to get them below about 4quid each I think unless you can find somewhere that offers you a discount for buying a box.

If you want storm lamps (which I personally think are better) try www.hurricanelamps.co.uk. They offer packs of 5 or 10 that really bring the price down so that they are really no more expensive than candle lanterns. You'll then need oil in addition, of course.
