Hey guys! I've been reading this community for a long time but up until 4 months ago didn't have a customer service job to post about and now unfortunately I do. Had my first true Customer Suck yesterday--although it was more my co-worker's suck than mine I still had to deal with it.
ME: Your friendly neighborhood Subway sandwhich artist (and only one excepting my managers allowed to touch the register)
L: My co-worker (still fairly new, just been there maybe a month)
SG: Salon Guy
ME: Hello sir! Your usual today? (NOTE: SG is very picky about his sandwhich, you must make it in a very precise way)
SG: Yes.
(We go through the beginning steps of making his sandwhich, I get to the cheese and L comes over, having finished a customer who is now waiting at the register)
L: I'll finish this, you go get them. (ANOTHER NOTE: This is what she was just told to do that very morning by our manager, not to touch my register but to take over what I was doing so that I can ring the waiting customer up)
ME: *tries to finish the cheese* Just one second...
L: I've got this, just go ring him up.
ME: *very relunctantly leaves her to finish*
A moment or two later...
L is putting the ranch on the sandwhich and I have just finished ringing his order up when...
SG: IT'S RUINED! YOU DIDN'T TOAST IT WITH THE MOZZERELLA CHEESE!
L: I'm sorry sir--
SG: You don't know how to make my sandwhich! She knows how to make my sandwhich and you pushed her out of the way!
L: I'm sorry sir, I'm new and I can't touch the register!
SG: JUST FORGET IT! *storms out*
ME: o_O
Yeah, L raised her voice a bit towards the end but c'mon she did deserve to just a bit didn't she? But anyways my manager talked to SG yesterday afternoon and he told her that he would not be back until L is fired.
Personally I could care less.
