Disclaimer: I own nothing, don’t sue.
Author’s Note: This fic is for Missy and Meredith, in response to their "angsty, post-hurricane ILY" challenge. Not exactly what you had in mind I’m sure, but I hope you enjoy anyway. :)
And the title… eh. Not happy with it, but I’m about to be kicked off the computer for the night so thought I should just go with it so you guys can read. LOL
Dedication: To M&M (not that M&M, and definitely not the candy LOL) for the previous reason. To Ashley for listening to me whine for half an hour about not being able to work the 100 words out. And last but not least to Katie for inspiring me with her drabble from last night. Thanks to you all!
Title: Desperate Thoughts
All that he could think of was how cold he had been with her for the past few weeks.
He had thought pushing her away was for the best, but when she had refused to budge he’d gotten nastier than ever, still she had refused to go.
And now she was missing. It was all he could do to remain calm as he looked through the rubble for a flash of red hair.
He had to find her.
And when he did, the first words out of his mouth would be "I love you." He would make sure of that.

ETA: Okay Cile... here's yours! I'm so nervous because it's been so long, hope you like it. :)
Disclaimer: I own nothing and am making no profit off of this.
Challenge/Summary: Ciley requested a fic where Spike gives Buffy flowers!
Author’s Note: I’m really nervous about this! LOL It’s been quite a while since I’ve written Spuffy, so I hope that this is okay. And I hope you like Cile!
Title: Worth The Risk
Spike took a deep, unneeded breath as he rang the doorbell of the Summer’s home and waited nervously. He was seriously wondering what the hell he had been thinking of when he heard the lock click and the door opened a crack.
Buffy smiled when she saw Spike and opened the door completely. Her eyes widened when she saw the flowers in his hand. Her expression was somewhere between amused and touched as she looked from the flowers to him.
After a moment she allowed touched to win out, and her face lit up as she took the flowers from his hand. “They’re beautiful. Thank you, Spike.” She smiled warmly, one of her first real smiles since she had been brought back-and strangely enough; Spike had been the recipient of all of them.
“These are beautiful, Spike. Thank you.” Suddenly shy, she mumbled something about needing to put the flowers in water and walked back inside the house; the open door was a clear indication that he should follow.
Spike smiled--a real smile, not his usual smirk-as he did so, closing and locking the door behind him as he unconsciously hummed underneath his breath.

In the kitchen, Buffy’s hands shook as she filled a vase with water and put the flowers in it. She set them on the counter next to the sink and took a moment to smell them, her smile widening at their sweet fragrance.
Spike just continued to surprise her more and more with his every action. Had he changed while she was gone, as so many things had, or was it her perception of him that had changed?
Her smile faded a little as she felt Spike enter the kitchen, her Slayer senses tingling.
No matter what had changed, she knew of one thing that had not. And it was the one thing that kept her from allowing him to get any closer to her than he already was.
She took a deep breath as she put her mask back on and turned around. She almost let the mask slip when she saw the disappointment creep into his eyes as she pasted on her fake smile and thanked him again, but she couldn’t risk it.

Right before Spike’s eyes Buffy had slipped back into her old comfortable way of keeping him at an arm’s length. He didn’t know whether he should accept what he had been given or push her…
After a moment he decided not to push, the time to push would come later after she had a little more time to heal.
He wasn’t going anywhere, and he had a few more ideas for how he could win her over and convince her that he was worth the risk he knew she was afraid of taking.
