(no subject)
I'm not a fan of cars...
For the past few weeks I've been trying to figure out how jon,penny lane, and i are getting home for winter break. I really want to drive, i feel that it's the best idea with penny lane in mind. (I'm sorry but having her in a crate on an airplane for 3+ hours and such isn't very comforting...) Taking the car train may just be out of question (it's about $800 & I don't know for sure if we can have Penny with us & or how much that'll cost with her--- also how will she go to the bathroom since the train goes from northern central fl - mid va... ) The reason why I'm skeptical about driving is -- we don't think it'll make it the entire 1,000 miles. My car is a 1995 850 Volvo. I love it to death, but it's life isn't going to last much longer. (We got it to Fl by towing it behind the uhaul). My parents put almost $1,000 into the car before we moved & informed me that was the last time they would help me with payments on the car...so I just don't know what to do.
I want my car because..
that's the way penny will be most comfortable.
... I can bring as much as I want & not worry if it'll be able to fit in a carry-on or if i'll be charged $50 extra because of the weight.
...I want my car so I can have a way of getting around when I'm back in PA to visit...
..I want my car so we can bring back things we forgot when we moved....
... I just don't know what to do...
& my freaking right rear tire is almost FLAT!!!! The air is like leaking out of it & I keep telling Jon we need to put air in (I know how to do it...sorta--- but when I do Jon tells me I'm not doing it right...) So i'm going to be driving it back and forth to class today being practically flat.... oyeee
O ya...and florida & their freaking ''oh sorry we have no gas in the state''..BLOWS. Last weekend there were lines like whoaaa for the pumps... then this week jon and i went out to get gas (drove around for probably a half hour trying to find an actual gas station that has gas--- 9/10 dont. ) and waited in a 30 car line at Sam's club at 8:30-- then the gas dude came to our window and informed us the pumps automatically shut off at 9 & that he'd recommend not waiting because we probably wouldn't make it up there in time.... Luckily we found a walmart in a town over with gas for $3.99... and that's CHEAP here! Most places now are $4.01, $4.09 and up...it's nuts... WTF
Why are we still using OIL?!?!??!?! There are people around the world that know how to put Veg. oil in your car! - Hell theres places in Cali that do it for free for your engine & restaurant make deals with you so they recycle their used oil in your car..... WHY DON'T ALL THE STATES TO THAT?!! God it just pisses me off... everyones going GREEN but honestly...are they!??!?!?
