I do not think I like pink wings very much.

...I don't think I like these wings at all. The symbolism is aggravating. We're far from angels...perhaps fallen angels would be most accurate. However by accepting the latter, it would mean that I believe in a higher being...something that I do not.

[pause]

What am I rambling about... [sighs]

do not believe in a higher being, wings aren't meant for someone like me, father, plushie

Why'd you make the jump to angels?

I guess it's the first thought that came to mind.

Yeah, but if angels aren't you style, couldn't you think of it like crows or something?

I think it mostly falls upon the part of a human-like creature with wings.

Crows are animals...

Not like you seem to think too highly of yourself anyway! Besides, don't some demons or something have wings?

Hn, I don't see why I should think too highly of myself. I'm just the way I am, nothing more and nothing less.

...I suppose they do. Yet like I said I'm not all that certain when it comes to these things.

Besides religion and religious concepts seem to be some kind of folk-tale in my opinion. People search for something to hold unto, something to explain the good and the bad in the world.

[There's an old lady laugh here] Then what're you on about, doll? I myself got about as much faith as a barnacle has legs.

...I don't know. Perhaps I'm thinking too much. [a small chuckle can be heard]

I apologize for wasting your time.

Formalities doll, formalities. Don't go apologizing for something like that. Sheesh.

Don't recall what your folks gave you, though?

...okay.

Folks?

...I don't remember my parents.

Well that's just... not that pleasant. Y'an orphan or something?

Something like that.

My parents were killed when I was very young...I was almost killed too.

Their memories were taken from me on that same night...

Gee... sounds a bit like some things my own folks used to see back when it was more like a war. 'Course the memory-deleting part makes it more like it was something 'my side' did, but eh.

Either way, no stuffies?! Christ almighty, your foster parents clearly had no brain cells.

War?

My world is kind of like an ongoing war. It's corrupt. People suffer and are killed regularly. Those of us strong enough have to fight to survive...

Your side? What do you mean?

I was raised by a swordsman. So I don't think he knew what it meant to a father...and yet he's the only father-figure I can remember.

He saved my life...

Bah, life saving or not, if you're raising a kid it's your job to make sure they don't end up so depressing when they're an adult. War or not, sheesh.

But as to my side, I mean my people -- vampires. Humans never co-existed well with us, ever. I mean it got better as they started to forget us, but I've seen plenty a relative killed by hunters, and Christ, my hands have needed to be bloodied once or twice.

...depressing? He raised me to be a killer, so that I can avenge my parents. I can't help if I come off depressing or something.

I see. I never met a vampire before. I always thought they didn't exist.
