Shtuff and Stuff
Wow. I haven't posted in for. ev. er. OMG. So! Life, how's life treating you guys? Mine's going pretty good. Just got back from an Awesome Christmas Vacation in which I went home to Texas to spend time with my family. The BF came too, and didn't run away screaming which I see as a good sign.
First up I finally met my 1 yr old niece! She's pretty cute, but man she SO liked the BF better than me! My visit was a surprise for most of the family, so there was a lot of crying and hugging when I showed up. It was great. Then Christmas with my Dad, which made me miss Austin more than I have in the 3+ years I've been living in Japan. It is just... one of those awesome cities. Like Tokyo is awesome, but in a different way. Anyway, and then we came back, had Oshogatsu here in Japan with the BF's parents, then had another week off. Back to school on Tuesday!
So the BF also recently bought a motorcycle. (-_-;;;) You can tell from my "face" that I am not too happy about this, since about every other day since he bought it he tells me about a motorcyclist death in Seattle. I know we don't live in Seattle, but Japan is worse when it comes to drivers, so it is REALLY comforting (not). This has not stopped me from buying motorcycling gear, however, because insanity is apparently catching. I have not yet got a helmet. That's next on the list, but my head is small so I'm having trouble.
Let's see, what else. Oh, planning a 6 mo lease on a car, with ideas to possibly buy one at the end of the lease. I need to get insurance taken care of, though, which means I wont be able to actually get the car until the 3rd week of January. So that first week I still have to bike to school... and MAN is it cold, OMG. I think I shouldn't have gone home because now I miss stuff like INSULATION and CENTRAL HEATING and ACTUALLY BEING WARM GODDAMMIT.
Speaking of being warm (kinda.. not really) does anyone know the show Before
