Today was Walter's birthday. I baked him a black forest cake. It was my first time making a cake. It came out delicious and so pretty looking. I was so proud of it that I took pictures and sat in the kitchen guarding the cake from the cats for 45 minutes while I waited for him to come over. Getting the second layer on top without breaking it was slightly stressful, but it was overall a very enjoyable experience. In addition to cake eating while watching Taken, we went to P.F. Changs. I had never been there before, it was delicious. It was a nice day, and Walter seemed to really enjoy himself. He's an amazing guy and I really wanted him to have a great birthday, and I'm so happy I was able to help with that.
