"At approximately 2:15 PM, EST, today, the tear in the blue napkin shirt was exacerbated by an unfortunate elbow stretch. The wound was considered critical, and untreatable. Upon examination, the shirt was prounounced dead, by means of becoming shortsleeved on the right arm.
The napkin shirt had been suffering from a wound in the elbow region of the right arm for nearly three months. At the time, it was diagnosed as "wear and tear." Unfortunately, in this case, that description is all too accurate.
The shirt leaves no survivors, but the friends of the shirt say it had a grand legacy, of always managing to get food on it during a meal, whether by accident of its' owner, or by the 'persuasion' by the other eaters at the table. Hence, it's moniker, the "Napkin."
In June, these friends celebrated the birthday (purchase day) of the shirt. It was two years old.
The remnants of the lower right sleeve will be preserved in Shoebox of Ted's Stuff Museum, in Springfield, Pennsylvania."
