Social Security Fairness Petition Act (CA)

I am no longer a CA voter but I would like to ask any Californian reading this to consider signing this petition. It would benefit people working in education who now pay into the Teachers' Retirement System. If the have also paid into Social Security their SS benefits are currently reduced or eliminated if they are receiving TRS benefits. Basically they lose what they paid into SS. This hurts educators who leave other professions to become teachers when they retire. Teacher recruitment and retention is a huge issue in CA. Please do what you can to support educators by signing this petition.
