http://www.salon.com/opinion/feature/2007/03/27/edwards/index.html . My initial reaction was that Edwards would be eventually withdrawing from the race, but I am so glad that he isn't. I believe in him and his campaign. Keeping busy is also a great strategy. I can relate to that. I kept working as long as I could. Giving up just leads to depression.
Also people should hate the disease not the person with it. That should be obvious. However, the Big C makes people really uncomfortable. As stated in the Salon article there's still a lot of blame the "victim" or the person with the disease. How about "there but for the grace of God go I"? Let her chose how she wants to spend her time. It is HER life, duh. If I were her child, I'd be proud that my parents were trying to end poverty and get national health care together, plus a few other good things. :)
