I absolutely believe low-rise jeans are a good decision for short waisted folk (like myself). That said, it is distracting and unflattering to wear low rise jeans with an ill-fitting, too short, faded and thin white t-shirt that leaves your stomach poking out.
It is completely inappropriate to wear such an outfit to a work event.
Yeah, I just got back from an extra Kaplan training session. I do not understand people sometimes. We only have an official dress code for when we're in front of the classroom, but still.
There were five people, including myself. I thought myself and the guy were dressed appropriately, two of the girls weren't really appropriate (jeans, flip flops, graphic t-shirt) but weren't egregious, and the last girl's stomach was poking out.
For the record, it took me about five minutes to get dressed. I wore a khaki pencil skirt that comes just past my knees, a black v-neck t-shirt, earrings, lip gloss, mascara, and nice wedge sandals. Nothing fancy or complicated to put together. Like I said, it took me five minutes.
Why don't people make a little effort sometimes?
