So you know Renee's been tracking down copies of the Crime Bible? She's been studying it, obsessed with it, and she says it's because she has to understand it to stop it since it's prophesied that Batwoman must be sacrificed.
Anyway, the head of the Cult of Cain's muscle branch (the Order of the Stone) has been following Renee around basically saying "and now you've learned the lesson of deciet/lust/greed/murder." He tells her to come Order's headquarters, or else he'll kill all her family and friends. She shows up, and he says that one of them must die now and the one who lives will lead the the Order in Cain's name. So they fight, Renee wins, but she's not going to kill him, right? But then he comes at her again, and she reacts, pushing him off a height. He lands on these spikes, very dead. (Looking at the page again, I think it's ambiguous if she intended to push him off the height or not.)
And all the Order kneel to her because she is their new master. The end.
And I'm like, "YOU ENDED IT THERE?" Because I don't think Renee is to the point of being evil; she's certainly resisting it the whole series and says several times throughout the final that she doesn't want to lead the Order. But seriously. Seriously.

Of course, I also love Rucka pretty much across the board.
