One more I wrote for the
V-Day porn battle title:
Lost My Heart in Thin Airwith: Stella/Lindsay
rated: NC-17
prompt: silence
disclaim: not mine, etc.
Stella knows better than to get too attached when Lindsay measures the silence between them as if it’s air. Together they work a case where a young woman was beaten to death in her own home. Stella follows the trail of blood drops and pauses half-way to the bedroom, breathing through a sudden tug of vertigo. She blinks a few more times, and it’s gone. Lindsay catches her eye but doesn’t say anything.
Lindsay stands over the body for a long five minutes, and her eyes turn inward. Stella backs off without a fight, even though it makes her feel disingenuous. She knows all the strategies in this game; Mac alone has given her more than enough practice.
But Stella had known Mac before everything went to hell. She’ll never get that part of Lindsay’s history.
Lindsay draws the world so tight around herself that Stella doesn’t know how she breathes. It doesn’t prevent Stella from trying to know, trying to tease it out, but her patience always falters. She finds herself kneeling between Lindsay’s legs, letting her tongue spell out the reasons why. She tries to make this language work as well as any other, her fingers sliding into Lindsay’s cunt. Stella thinks it means something, the way Lindsay clenches around her fingers, trying to keep her here, where everything is slick and wordless heat. Stella thinks that Lindsay talks by doing, talks by the way she tangles a hand in Stella’s hair when Stella tongues her clit.
Even when Lindsay comes, she’s knuckle-white silent.
