See. If Lindsay were half as much made of win and magic as Hammerack and Adam are when they get screentime? Maybe I would miss her. Because right now, I don't give a shit. Which is sad because I want to like her, okay? I really, really do.
I loved Stella and Danny working something remotely fashion related. Loved the "ghost" and Danny and Adam...
Also. Also. Adam's daddy was abusive? Shit. This is why he's all cutely jumpy and nervous sometimes? Shit.
There needs to be fic. Understated, matter-of-fact fic. Because this is the sort of plot point that could go very wrong in fic and slide toward melodrama or cliche. (look, i've read too much badfic in my life wherein such abuse is gratuitously added to canon background. i'm simultaneously wary and enthused by this development in adam's backstory.)
Mac is hot in black. Flack is a little understated this ep but just sexy as hell. Could've used a little more Hawkes in the ep.
Family theme again, all over every angle of Mac's case--Claire's son, the killer's father's expectations, even tangentially with the fact that such a secret society would have a lot of basis in father-son legacy.
Also, huge--Mac doesn't have closure with Claire because her body was never recovered. That explains a lot. Certainly not everything, but still.
