Clothes

I made a terrible mistake. I took a break from the work I'm doing to have dinner and surf the web a little. I follow a community here called thriftwhore, where people post pictures of things they've found at thrift stores. And it got me to thinking about clothes. That led to thinking about what I was going to bring with me to WorldCon. That led me to my closet.

Where I discovered that many of my favorite pieces of clothing are too big for me.

Now, yes, I know. This is a good thing. This is what I've been working toward. But it doesn't leave me much of anything to take with me to the convention. I'm leaving early Wednesday morning. I have a metric ton of things to take care of--that must be taken care of--before I leave. I don't have time to go shopping. But unless I want to wear the same damn thing every day I'm in Reno (which would save me some packing, but require a lot of washing), I need to solve this problem.

Then . . . I panicked. When I say that I have a metric ton of stuff to do before I leave, well, I'm not exaggerating too much. I looked at the clock. It was 7:30. I went at checked the hours at the Ballard Goodwill. They were open until 9. I hopped in the car.

I found 5 tops. A couple of them are really pretty. Well, they all look good and fit properly, but two of them are special. I used the gift debit card I received a couple of months ago when I volunteered but was not selected for a focus group thing I went to. So basically, I got 5 really nice tops . . . for free. ::squee::

And now . . . back to work.
