It looks like there will be no respite from the cold. The
Seattle Times is predicting continuing cold temps and snow later this week, though it's expected to be much worse in the mountains than in the city. Still, the article says:
Temperatures are predicted to fall to freezing by Wednesday night, setting the stage for lowland snow as another system moves through.
"From Wednesday through Thursday, we have a chance of rain or snow showers," Burg said. "But it won't be the kind of widespread event we had around Thanksgiving." [Edited to add: For which I'm truly grateful.)
Snow could stick in places overnight and in the early morning. "Things could get a little treacherous," Burg said. But relatively warm temperatures should keep roads clear during the day.
So it won't be a Snowmageddon on the order of what the East Coast is experiencing (and my sympathy goes out to all my East Coast posse [except for
singingnettle who is so despicably enjoying her Florida sunshine ::wink:: ]), which is a goodness, but it'll be cold and we'll be beset upon. I suspect I'll be staying indoors a bit more than I'd hoped to this week. ::grumble::
