Had a new volunteer create the design for the poster for the chorus concert. It's gorgeous, although it took a little time to get there, what with explaining things like "a logo is part of a group's legal identity and can't be messed with," and "an apostrophe is different from an acute accent," etc.
She sent the finished file as a JPEG, and now we're having trouble saving it and printing it out. And some of the printers are asking for PDFs. Usually the volunteers who do our posters know more about the process than I do; I know about copy, legal requirements, fonts and typfaces and so on. But now I'm learning from the printers (in this strange new world) about what I have to provide to them.
