Happy Birthday

Today, my Sophie Sestina is three years old. She has grown to be a beautiful queen. Also? A silly girl. She is fierce and opinionated, playful and cuddly--when she wants to be. I couldn't be happier to have her as a companion.

Happy Birthday to Sophie! If that is a regular sized newspaper she is quite a bit larger than her mama.

It's a regular-sized newspaper. She's about 11.5 pounds at this point. She's very looong. :-)

Pepper weighs about 6 1/2 pounds. It still amazes me that she had 6 kittens.

Yep, she's tiny. As Sophie was growing, I kept asking the vet about her size, and he kept saying there was no reason not to expect her to be an average-sized kitty. I guess Pepper is just naturally petite.
