One of the things I realized after the "If You Build It, They Will Come" panel at Writercon* is that I've not been making the best use of available "community" resources. Case in point, de.li.cious. When I first signed up I bookmarked tons of things and ended up with a disjointed wodge of data that seemed impenetrable. So I walked away. Clearly

Highlight a short passage of text, right-click with your mouse, and, from the menu,
select delicious> post current page.
In order to not doublepost and have a certain uniformity, make sure you’ve done the following:
• have page in most basic format + ?format=light [delicious cannot recognize same page if URL is different, so we’d end up doubleposting]
• make sure you stay under 255 characters in your description (the script lets you know how many you have…cut accordingly or it’ll cut off the end)
• give the appropriate tags. I’ve tried to keep them simple and matching with what we’ve been using, so there are pretty much the big categories we’ve had: fandom, fanfic, writing, reading, vidding, reviewing, reccing, feedback, where a post can be in more than one category (like reading&writing), but I’d say it’s obvious that writing is fanfic, so fanfic should read as fanfic meta.
Then there are form categories that should be added for polls and questions and links.
Finally, for specific fandoms I’ve included the going ones.
If you feel the need to add a new category, please think about it and see if the already existing ones might work!

Alternatively, if you do not want to use Firefox or if you do not have your own delicious account, you can simply log into the metafandom delicious account and save everything via a small button: http://del.icio.us/help/buttons
Here you must copy the text, click the button which will get you to a delicious update page, paste the text, add tags and memory. It’s not much more awkward, but you cannot use it if you plan to juggle various accounts without logging in and out every time.

Oh, and a final one for newsletters (yes, dead horse and all ;)

I am not totally inflexible. Just because something doesn't work for us now doesn't mean that it won't in the future. Are there any tutorials or instructions? It's been ages since I've looked into the delicious script (a hard drive ago *weeps*) and I no longer have any bookmarks. Since we are a very democratic model and personnel shift all the time, it's a concept that might be received differently now than when first proposed.
Thanks again for all of your tips. Your enthusiasm about the use of delicious was one of the things that prompted me to take a closer look at my v.v. neglected account.

Well, the instructions on how to memory and set up the delicious saving are what I posted in the comment. The script itself I never actually dealt with. Lemme ask someone and I'll get it to you.
