its been waaayyyy too long
so i havent been here to update in a while, i sorry. not that nybody actually reads this, or cares that much, but still.
my church choir is sponsoring me for vocal lessons, meaning for me the lessons will be free. which is kick ass, cuz ive never had a voice lesson in my life.
and i had a solo in my school choir's last concert. i sang oh holy night. i think i did a pretty good job, im proud of myself.:)
and i made the school talent show, i am going to do belly dancing to a song by loreena mckennitt. the outfit i will be wearing is one that a lady named constance that goes to my church got for me whike she was in south africa.
i went back to my old school, kempner, yesterday because i am out of school already and they arent, and i wanted to say hello to some people. turns out the kempner coir winter concert was that same night, and they were singing some pieces from messiah, which i know almost by heart by now, i love it so much, and so ms tanner-hall(choir director) invited me to sing with the choir on stage. and so of course i accepted. but it was strange for two reasons:one, i was in jeans and a light blue shirt and crappy old boots, while all the other girls were in their black choir gowns and the men in black tuxedos, and two i realized just how much better i have become vocally since i moved. i mean, ms tanner-hall is a wonderful person, but she did not actually teach me anything musically, except sightreading, and that was only because i really was eager to learn something, anything. i am so much happier at bellaire, my new school, and choir is the main reason why.
and i am also going back to making jewelry. i kind of stopped several months ago, but im starting to pick it back up again.
and my grandparents on my moms side are flying in from ohio on sunday. i am pretty excited about that. they are not actually staying in houston, they bought a timeshare thingie in galveston. i think im spending the night there on monday and tuesday. that should be fun.
and we are finally moving into a bigger apartment. three bedrooms, two bathrooms. im so excited!!
