Funeral Home changes
Well I'll be damned...
MFFD called me on my cell and left a voice message...said he just wanted to give me a heads up and not to say anything because he wasn't sure but there were envelopes for the receptionists out. Something about they are cutting back on hours so if we are scheduled for the evening, we need to call ahead and see if there is a viewing or not. If there isn't, then we don't go in (and don't get paid!)
I'm pissed because for one, that is WHY I liked working there to begin with, we go in regardless. Reason number two is had I known, I would have friggin' kept the job Ambrose offered because at least then I'd have more opportunities to go in since I would not only be hostessing, but doing removals, funerals, etc. The pay is less but I'd have more opportunities to work. I'm so annoyed.
If anything, I did email the owner at the FH I work at now and mentioned that my back is all better and I'm still job hunting but that if they ever needed assistance or another funeral assistant to please keep me in mind rather than hiring someone new. He replied and asked me what my availability was, but didn't say anything else, so I don't know if that meant he was seriously considering it.
Anyhow, MFFD said he wasn't sure, but he sounded like he was, so I guess I'll find out tomorrow when I go into pick up a copy of the schedule.
