I loved Lucy's hair in that post. Alas, my hair isn't naturally curly - it just sort of waves a bit and looks fried in its natural state. I can do this with curling irons:
but it's not as good and it takes too long to do very often. It's also a bit hit and miss as to whether it works or not. I have in my desperation even considered a perm (!) but one of those in a lifetime is more than enough and I did my time when I was 14. I looked like a springer spaniel.
Don't worry - everyone had one at the time. But not all perms are tight curls. It could work, but it's probably best to do something in harmony with what nature gave you, rather than trying to fight Her.
