Three's a crowd...

The next morning the greater population of the state of California joined us in Disneyland.  We decided to just suck it up and ride Nemo immediately because it was a fairly new ride with no fast pass option, so the later in the day you waited to get in line, the longer it was.  So we wait.  And wait.  Luckily, there were no misbehaving kids in line around us so Lindsay's tick didn't return that morning.  I forgot to mention that before we got in line, we had gotten coffee (Lindsay) and hot chocolate (me) and, being around the water, Lindsay started to have a crisis.

After over an hour wait, we are at the front of the line and Lindsay is nearly in tears.  She bolts.  Right when she disappears, the line moves and I let all of Disneylad pass in front of me.  Finally, she comes back and we get on the sub.  There was an embarrassing moment when I sang a song against my will, but we ride the ride, eat lunch (almost as long a line as Nemo) and move on to California Adventure.

We snack on some ice cream, ride California Screamin' and say our goodbyes to that park.  We use our fast passes to go on Space Mountain (I don't know if it's just me, but I always hate the black light portion of the ride because it shows me how dirty my clothes really are...no?  Just me?  Ok, forget you read that....)  After gaining our footing back, its off to Adventureland and Indiana Jones.  It's broken.  Of course.  So we head to Thunder Mountain for round 2.  Closed for filming.  Why not?  That's ok, I want some McDonalds fries at the covered wagon.  'Cept the wagon is nowhere to be found.  Dejected, we head to Fantasyland, find an empty table and land.

There were so many people.  It was exhausting just to look at them all.  We had a small moment of panic when Lindsay saw a man who looked distinctly like AJ from the Backstreet Boys.  If only I could have gotten a good look at his stomach, I would have known for sure...  By this time I was craving a Jalapeno Cheese Filled Pretzel.  Reader, I don't know if I've shared this clinical information with you before, but I suffer from a severe case of Food Envy.  An offshoot of this syndrome is Food Regret.  Earlier at California Adventure, I had seen the aforementioned culinary delight, but I had passed by in hopes of going back later.  That was 3 hours ago, and, as I mentioned, we had already said our goodbyes to C.A.

But, as He shows me everyday, God loves me and meets my needs.  Lindsay had gotten a call from Kim (the preggo who ditched us) and she happed to know the exact location of a Jalapeno Cheese Filled Pretzel vendor!  (I had already asked a "Cast Member" and she was not only rudely ignorant but gave me crap directions).  Now a woman on a mission, I go and get my pretzel...and sweet and sour beef kabobs...what can I say - meat is my weakness...

Indiana Jones is finally open again so we seize our opportunity.  I got invited to join a fella and his crew in their safari car, but being a loyal sister, I declined.  Plus waiting meant I got to sit in the drivers seat!  Score 1 for Disney Magic!

After the ride, I got cotton candy, Lindsay got her waffle come and we tried to find her perfect shirt.  Being unsuccessful (on her part - I happened to score an awesome skull and crossbones ring!) we went to Downtown Disney.  Just when we were ready to cut our losses (and Linsday started displaying signs of the Poochy Lip Disease) we struck gold!  It was a pirate themed shirt that said, "I Love Jack".  (She said she got it to remember me by...sniff).  The conversation at the check out counter went something like this:

Checkout Girl:  Oh!  Are you ready?
Lindsay:  Yes.
CG:  Oh!  This shirt is so cute!
L: Yeah.
GC:  Oh!  Do you love Jack?
L:  No...
CG:  Vacant smile
L:  ....I just wanted a pirate shirt.
CG:  Oh!  Pirates are so!  Great!
L:  'Bye

We left the park at this point and started our journey home.  We sang, got gas and, after a few rousing renditions of 1985, we returned to our everyday lives.
