Scarlet Dreams VI

There was a gray, desolate place; everywhere there were these thick forests of twisted gray plant-like growth. Throughout the dream various figures emerged from this mangled web of growths; figures that gave the impression of feral tribe-like people with gray skin or even vampiric qualities. Either these were a wild people that dwelled within the gray forest, itself, or the growths, themselves, were actually alive and sentient; or both. Either way, a lot of creatures seemed to live there. Throughout the dream there was this woman. She was a plump matronly woman, who says at some point that she had been injured or sick to the point where she could no longer move the fingers on one of her hand. This injury prevented her from being able to sew. And, somehow this gave the impression that this woman's ailment was linked to the rapid spread of this land of decayed, boiled growths.

In steps her daughter, a young red head. This young girl swoops in with a red rope, and begins weaving and threading it through this briar of growths. Afterward, she would take the end of the rope and tug on it. And as she pulled, the whole section of threaded gray growths would be lifted up, and, once free of the dense mire, the area was flooded with a watery liquid. The girl would repeat this task wherever there were puffy masses. At one point, however, she was forming a rope around a massive structure. She was working at the very edge of the forest. Behind her was pristine, fertile grassland and beyond that was what appeared to be a large yellow bricked wall, where civilization would be waiting for her. But, just as she was pulling at the rope, it snapped apart. There was the impression of another person or entity there, as if it was trying to interfere with the girl's progress. The girl quickly tied the rope back together, planted her heels into the grass, and tugged with all her might. But, the rope may have come apart again.

Throughout this was the impression of sewing. Inside the house where girl and her mother were lived was a black and white dog, sleeping in the corner, and, on one of its ears was a entire patch of stitched threads the same color of the red rope the girl had been using. There was the sense that, on some level, these postules were actually a horrible illness within the mother that the girl was trying desperately to fight by using these threads.

But, dreams being what they are, this quickly took a turn for cartoons. Eventually the mother was replaced by the Crystal Gems (a la Steven Universe). Garnet and Amethyst  were there. And this time, it seemed Garnet had been afflicted by the mysterious illness. She, Amethyst, and Steven were in front of the bricked wall that stood across from the gray forest. There was a great mass behind Garnet that was probably protruding from her.

At one point the Gems were doing something and like a bubbly curtain being lifted, the masses suddenly began to evaporate to reveal lush green plain.
