(no subject)
so this weekend i...
- met about 80 kids who all also got deferred from stanford
- wandered aimlessly around the claremont colleges trying to find a "get low hip hop party"
- saw a band quite reminiscent of 2% funk called blue judy
- saw about 500 hundred kids dressed in full out 80's attire
- had interviews in which i was forced to talk about german unemployment policies, prostitution, nuclear waste, college admissions and teen drinking
- went to a ridiculously fun economics class
- met a few really silly professors
- met a girl who refers to herself as being from the "east coast version of the OC"
- went to the get low hip hop party
- spent two hours circling around jamestown cause newark wouldn't let us land, ran out of fuel on the airplane and had to land at jfk, refuel and fly back to newark, and during that time i talked to the most ridiculous british father ever
and did a zillion other things.
i liked claremont mckenna.
a lot.
i'm going to have a hard time deciding things come april.
i had a really good discussion with someone this weekend about finding a college that's the right fit for you. and how both of us had spent all our lives being so concerned with going where we're supposed to go, and to the college that would help us the most in getting a job and getting ahead in.
she actually reminded me so much of nicole cabrera who reminds me of myelf so i suppose it was really like having a conversation with myself about college.
in the past few months i've realized that i'm going to go where i fit in, not where i'm supposed to go.
regardless, it's going to be weird and possibly complicated deciding where i'm going in april.
i am so done with winter. this snow sucks.
