I felt his head come upon my right shoulders as he put his hand on each side of my arms. I felt him lightly lean against my back as he held me close. I turned around so I could see his handsome face. As he backed up giving me space I shot him a flirty smile. He replied by giving me a dangerous look with his eyebrows raised . I came closer to him resting my head under his chin and clinging my arms around him. He put his hand to my head and gently pressed it close to his chest. He began to lightly sway back and forth in a calm motion. “May I have this dance my lady”? He asked letting my head go then taking my hands into his palms. I backed up so I could move my feet and put my arm upon his left shoulder. Hid hand gently came to the curve of my waist. His feet moved right as mine followed. I had never been exceedingly good at this but always tried. As Guys feet seemed to float on air I was trying not to step on his black boots. He must have noticed my struggle when he without warning lifted me off me feet. As he set me down it seemed very different. I was almost as tall as him. I looked down to see my feet standing on top of his. I looked back up to him smiling as I silently laughed. I came in closer touching my nose with his. He gently kissed the stub on my nose then came across my lips. I put my hand against his prickly cheek. I moved my head in to kiss him when there was a knock at the door. I closed my eyes with annoyance as Guy put me back on my own two feet again. He sighed as he looked over to see Thornton. “ Sorry master but Sir Allen is here to speak with you”? He informed then looking back at Guy. “ Tell him I will be only a moment”. Guy instructed. Thornton then exited our chamber. Guy came back over to me and took my chin and gently pushed it up so I could look into his blue eyes. He lightly ran his thumb across my lips. “ I can’t just leave you with out a kiss can I”? He said with his eyebrows raised. He leaned in towards me giving me his soft lips. He pulled me into his arms. As I stood there in his arms and with his lips against mine I didn’t want him to leave. As our lips parted I still closed my eyes treasuring every moment. I then let go of him as he brought his hands to my stomach. He looked down at his hands smiling as hi ran his fingers across the silk. I brought my hands down to his laying them on top. “ See you at tonight’s banquet my love”. I reminded him. Guy stood straight then looked back at me and gave me a playful wink. I smiled in return. When he had left the room I put my hands upon my abdomen. “ I pray child that you will not grow up to be a horrible dancer like your mother or as busy as your father”. I went back to the chair in front of my vanity. I took my hairpin on the side of the desk and finished pinning up my bands. I took one last glance in the mirror then headed for the exit of our bedchamber. I went to the staircase and looked down upon Thornton and the other servants chattering while they were tending their chores. I went to the staircase and made my way down the steps then I reached the base of the floor. I looked out to see that the sun had sunk and the sky start to fill with stars. I made my way to the front door that lead to the stables. I grabbed my cloak that was hung by the door and fastened it as I waked outside. I entered the barn coming to the stall of my horse, Maybell, and heard her give a loud Winnie. She had already been brushed, fed, and re saddled. As I led her out of the stable she nickered with excitement. “ Hold on girl let me get out of the barn first”. I said with a laugh. I mounted when we had come out of the stables. I clicked my tongue. As we roe in the night the moon shinned bright guiding my way.
Great Hall
The room was filled with hungry noble men and women deep in conversation. I had only just arrived with I could ear them half way down the hallway before. I came across Merton, Barnsdall, and the Sheriffs wealth counter, James. “ Ah, Lady Gisborne you look as ravishing as ever”. James complimented me.” Where is that husband of yours”? James asked. “ I was just about to ask you the same question”. I replied. At that moment we heard a fanfare sound we turned to see the Sheriff, Guy, and Allen making their way in. Guy was on the right side of the Sheriff and Allen on the left. “ I thank you for coming”. The Sheriff greeted. “ I invite you to pull of a chair and fill your stomachs with our kitchens finest cuisine”. He offered. When the Sheriff had finished everyo9ne retuned to their discussions. One of the noble women came over to me. Her name was Lady Emma or Lady Camden. She was a dear woman who was not too much older than me. She was married to Sir Jacob and had two children. She had been one out of the many women implying me to have a child. “ So I hear you have been feeling under the weather lately”. Emma said with a wind and a tilt of her head. I gave her a gentle smile while lifting my index finger to my lips. “ It’s a secret”. I whispered. “ Have you told your husband yet”? She asked me impatiently. “Yes, but that’s all, were going to announce it sometime tonight”. I informed her. She smiled back at me the looked over at Guy then back at me.” “May your child be as wonderful and stubborn as its parents”? She stated with a laugh. I joined in with her showing no offense. I had been use to that saying. People would always tell me “ I pray your offspring will not be as stubborn as He or She’s parents. I always laughed at the saying it. Emma left my side and went back over to accompany her husband. I looked across the room but could not see Guy. “ Right behind you my love”. Guy whispered in my ear. I turned around to see his face. “ Thought you’d never find me huh”? He said with a chuckle then a smile. He stepped forward linking my arm with his“ Shall we”. He asked as he kissed the side of my fore head. I went with his suggestion and went to the dinning table. We sat down by Merton, Jacob, and Emma. Guy and I sat right across from Emma and Jacob. Guy reached for my hand under the table. I let him and took my goblet with the other hand. As I went to take a drink from my cup Jacob said to Guy. “ My wife tell me you and your wife are to have a child of your own. He sated. When I heard his words I quickly put the glass down and looked at Emma. She smiled back at me with a I couldn’t help it look. I didn’t mind. Allen heard these words as well since we seated him by us. He stood up raising his goblet. :”My lords and Ladies please raise yo9ur glasses for the news I am about to share with you”. He implied. The crowd became silent. “ I have been recently informed that Sir Guy and Lady Gisborne are to have their first child in the near future”. He informed. The sound of clapping with looks and smiled came from every corner of the room. Guy and I then both stood up hands tightly together. Guy took our clung hands together and lifted them straight up. We raised our goblets in the air as the people all around the room did. “To the future master or Lady Gisborne”. The crowd cheered. When we had sat back down the crowd had went back to what they were doing only discussing of the news just been told. Emma looked at her husband with a cheerful smile than turned to me. “ I bet you it will be a lad”. Jacob declared. “I think it will be a beautiful little girl with her mothers eyes”. Emma shot back. Guy and I looked at each other both smiling. We looked back at them and chuckled. Allen came over to Guys chair and laughed. “ I cant wait till we tech him how to ride a horse, or shoot an arrow”. Allen said with glee. Guy just turned to look at him then laughed. “You still have a lot to learn yourself Allen”. He said with his eyebrows raised. “ Why are you so determined its going to be a boy”? Emma asked with confusion. “ My first born was little Genevieve and I was told I would only bear sons”. Emma pointed out. “ Also I am the first born of my own fathers house as is Marian in her fathers house”. She reminded them then glanced back at me. “ Well whatever gender I bed they will take after Marian”. Guy said looking back at me with a gentle smile. “ I don’t mind if they take after you my love”. I reassured him
