I knew there was other sides to the same story... I was yelled, whined and squaked at by so many people who had nothing to eat after feeding out of my own camp before & during feast. The more I thought about it, the less happy I was.
I did taste my hot dog, it was cold & had what looked to me to be wrapper marks, about five minutes before the nachos ran out. I gave my hot dog to my page who did eat it with enjoyment. The twizzlers and coke was good. I managed a chunk of beef and bun from S camp, later.
The larger the group to be fed the less control anyone have over the individual servng. When the bids were worked up last year at least two of the people who put in bids were told expect to feed 550...I think what was there would have comfortably fed 400...
If I had had my head on straight I would have collected a couple of buns, put cheese on them and been less BEAR myself.
Next year the peanut butter, jelly & bread stays in Stormblade camp. The same law that 'protects' helpers of the ill & injured (to the best of one's ability) makes me liable if I do not offer aid if it is requested... to the best of my ability.
