This is very, very nice. Your writing feels like the show, back when it was, you know, good. And they are such horribly fucked up people that are meant for each other. Awesome.

I can't decide which section is my favorite. #4 has Alex, but as a Classics major, I have a soft spot for #5.

Anyway. I liked this a lot!

Regarding #5: I do love how the show's writers managed to completely accidentally give Benson the perfect first name, because based on evidence, I'm pretty sure they're not smart enough to have done that on purpose.

A familiar thought floats up out of the aether. Don't go where I can't follow. It's a cop's promise, and the only one they've ever needed.
I absolutely love the irony of this line, because that's EXACTLY what Liv does when she goes undercover.

...sorry. Anyway, AWESOME that you read it.

And I love that that line works for you like that, because I wrote this before Liv's undercover thing happened, and yes, that's exactly what she does when she leaves. And is doing, gradually, in this fic, because that's what I see her doing throughout season six, before Fault even happened: Olivia not knowing how to handle things, distancing herself, and completely fucking things up in the process, even though she wants to help so badly, because she loves him.

(This, of course, assumes a level of plotting and continuity far beyond the SVU writers' abilities, but I sometimes like to think they might have known what they were doing. Maybe. Well, probably not.)

Anyway. I LOVE THEM AND THEIR STUPID STUPID ANGST, COME BACK, SHOW.

I really enjoyed this. I'm so glad I came across your fic via (I think?) svilleficrecs's links. SVU fic's so non-centralised that I hate knowing I'm missing good stuff out there that I'll likely only stumble upon accidentally, as I did with this.
