I honestly can't remember the last time I threw up. I'd completely forgotten what it felt like, and I was grateful for it.
So either Saturday or Sunday, I came in contact with someone with a bad flu. I honestly don't know when, but it had to be one of those two days, cuz those were the only days I went out (Ren Faire and Church respectively). Tuesday I woke up feeling like hell. But it wasn't much worse than the kind of colds I usually get, so I expected to just be groggy for a couple days, down some Airborne, and sleep it off.
Failed.
Yesterday I threw up twice and spent the better part of the evening lying on my bathroom floor. I had no appetite and couldn't even look at food. In fact I still can't look at the birthday cake left in the fridge from Mom's party last week. Which is weird, cuz cake had nothing to do with this.
Two days straight I had severe headaches, achey chest, general stuffiness, inability to stand, and an inexplicably leaky eye that felt like it was ready to pop out.
Today I woke up...feeling fantastic.
Still stuffy. But my ears are clearing up and my throat no longer hurts. Even had a small cheeseburger for lunch (I always crave those when I'm sick, no idea why).
Mom and I got pedicures. We came home and I got to work fixing up stuff for Rand and Gian's rehearsal dinner. I'm currently printing out one of the games for the Bridesmaids' luncheon. Honestly, I don't know where this energy came from.
I guess this is as good a time as any to make an announcement. As much as I love audio, I need a stable career. I've decided to buy some equipment and work audio as a side job whenever possible (such as for my mother's voice over jobs) and I've applied at a local vocational school. I'm going to be a Veterinary attendant. And if all goes well, Veterinary assistant after that. Should take about 15-16 months. I extern and start working right away. And let me tell you, I couldn't be more excited.
I start in July.
Hm. I really hope 31 copies is enough for the luncheon. So many games to plan...
