Sometimes I feel like my parents try aggressively not to listen or understand.
If your supervisor says "Don't come in till 3:30", that doesn't mean "Go in as early as possible and get all your possible work done before anyone who matters shows up!"
No matter how many times I explain they just don't get it. Not to mention the fact that it's not like the industries they work in. But they're very stubbon. Everything has to be in their safe little box and ideals of how jobs go. This is not a big company I'm working for. This is a small privately owned studio that has given me specific instructions.
Another thing that made me mad. I've already pulled a lot of strings and pushed my luck severely by asking these guys to hire me after only a month. I'm DAMN lucky I've made a good enough impression that they said "Sure! Give it a few weeks and we'll have it all set up for you!"
What does mom say?
"How much are they going to pay you?"
What's the LAST thing I want to ask right now? Oh yeah. Let's piss them off and make it seem like I care only about the money. I told them it was an emergency and I can't afford rent. They get that. They will pay me according to whatever job I'm doing and by how many hours I do it. Besides which, I'm not really aware of a good salary. I don't want to stand there doing math after he says "We can offer you up to 15 dollars an hour".
What do they expect me to do? Make possible salary charts and study them? Good lord.
I cannot wait till I'm self-sufficient. I'm REALLY sick of them butting into everything they don't even WANT to understand.
