Well folks, after recently re-discovering my LJ I decided to give it the old clean out and reboot with something new and more recent. I've not updated here in over 2 years! I didn't have the heart to just delete everything from before, so I've simply hidden them all as private to give me a nice clean public slate. So where do I start?
I've been working on my photography for a year or 2 and now that I finally have a pro-quality camera, it's coming on in leaps and bounds! My early work with the old compact will always have a special place within my heart, but this new camera has opened up so many possibilities for me already. I'm beginning to get recognition from places I could only have dreamed about before!
I do the occasional landscapes and creatures shots, but I love working with other people so much that I'd rather keep working with models and doing portraits. However, I love doing gig photography! If for no other reason than because I can get lasting reminders of some of the most amazing nights I have! One of my most recent gigs being the Peter Murphy gig in Glasgow's Classic Grand back in August. The way this night has affected my life is unbelievable! But more on that later... ;)
I intend to use this blog more as a log of what I've been up to on my adventures with my camera, there shouldn't be much by the way of a personal nature, so here's hoping this time I can blissfully avoid the drama that is LJ!
