1. I have decided that, if I am ever going to make a half-serious attempt at mpreg, then I need to read Ursula Le Guin's The Left Hand of Darkness first, at the very least. (Ugggh, that reminds me: when I was a teenager, I tried to read Storm Constantine's
Wraeththu. IT WAS BASICALLY LIKE
THIS but with marginally better writing.)
2. John Dies At The End was fairly fun in a self-absorbed douchebag white boy sort of way. I'd review it, but I'm lazy, so I'll just say that it's like Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, except that one of them is a borderline sociopath, and there are eldritch abominations, and the book was written by Douglas Adams after enjoying a bowl of weed. The plotting and pacing could've been better, but I would only advise against reading it if you have an allergy to self-absorbed douchebag white boys. I'd write slash fic for it but I'm terrified that the author would find it and put it on cracked.com.
3. I am probably the last person to notice
this John Lennon parody but it is my favorite parody of, well, pretty much anything.
