Hm.
Chapter 14 of Last Days is at about 3500 words, my Rule 63 Watchmen fic for quietprofanity is at about 2000 words - both pieces are at about 50% towards completion, I'd say. (Although I think that the last half of a fic is more difficult to write than the first half.) I keep trying to up my daily output from 400-600 words to 800, but my brain just putters out after a certain point.
