woohoo! i saw 311 last night and they were absolutely lovely as usual :)
also as usual, they played a lot of songs from grassroots. which is my least favorite album, and i never listen to it. so i still went to a 311 concert not knowing all the songs. grr. hehe... they didn't play ONE song from soundsystem. i thought that was kinda weird. they should've at least played one.
in no particular order, here's the setlist:
from "music":
freak out
feels so good
visit
paradise
nix hex :)
(if only they played plain and do you right. man that would've been PERFECT. but i've seen them do both songs before, so i guess i can't complain. music's my favorite album, so anything they want to play from it is wonderful :) yay!)
from "grassroots":
8:16 am (woohooooooo! nick said "do you guys know what day it is?" to which many people replied "311 day!" which it's obviously not cuz it's not march, ha... so he said "it's 8-16!" and then they played this wonderful song! yay!)
Applied Science (once again with the drum solo and all the guys playing drums. they do this EVERY time, which usually bores me, but last night was the best i've seen. it was great.)
some other songs i'm not sure of yet....
from "311":
down
all mixed up
purpose (woohooo!)
from "transistor":
beautiful disaster (!!!)
starshines
use of time (yay!)
nothing from "soundsystem"
from "from chaos":
from chaos
amber
you wouldn't believe
from "evolver":
Creatures (for a while) -- encore
beyond the gray sky (lovely)
still dreaming
don't dwell
crack the code (woohooo!)
other side of things
reconsider everything
and as usual, in the encore, who's got the herb?
joy. i did my duty by standing there through the whole thing. and after it was over and they played creatures, i resumed by dancing my butt off :) hehe.
i don't think i missed any, except for the songs from grassroots. i'll figure that out later.
yay, it was fun. very very freakin' HOT, but fun :) and i had probably the best seats i've ever had at merriwhether! yay! hehe....
k, off to pack. *ugh*
music,
