ok so maybe i'm not supposed to do this (quote other people's comments on lj) but i don't care....
i was looking at a community for icons, and this one girl made a few patriotic and pro-bush icons. which i must say was very refreshing haha. so anyway, since the icons are allowed to be anything, i don't see any reason why anyone should debate anything. these sites have nothing to do with opinions on people's choices of icons... but someone apparently did not like this girl's icons. and she said this:
"you are ignorant.. get your facts straight sweety.. unless you just want to stay another stupid, ignorant, blind and heartless American that the whole world hates.
Where are the weapons of mass destruction. your support and US tax $$ have currently killed over 7,567 INNOCENT people in Iraq (not soldiers, not army) but regular citizens like you and me..The blood of all those peoples are on the hands of American soliders and people like YOU!! you helped kill those people.. you are just as bad as any terrorist! what makes the life of an American any better than the life of an Iraqi? why is it wrong for someone to come here and kill an American, yet we can go into another country and bomb residential areas, and "accidently" kill people.. and that's supposed to ok.. why don't you care about all the INNOCENT Iraqi people and people form Afghanistan who have been killed by our troops?? do you even know ONE of their names? have you ever seen even ONE of their pictures? or are you just another selfish racist and ignorant American??

The rest of the world does not hate us because they are jealous of America. They hate us because we are liars and brutal. WE bomb other countries, we kill their people, we steal the wealth of the land.. we are greedy lil pigs. the rest of the world would be so much better off if this stupid country was not around.
America needs to mind it's own business and take care of it's own problems like the millions of homeless people, all of the school budget cuts going on in this country, unemployment, millions not having health care.. and stay the HELL OUT OF OTHER COUNTRIES.. leave other people alone, stay out of places that we don't belong and we are not wanted. LEAVE OTHER COUNTRIES ALONE.. if you love America so much you would be supporting that. "
man, this is the kind of crap that just pisses me off! are people completely blind? this girl wants to talk about ignorant... i don't even know if i can comment on all the things she's said. one thing can be said by the girl who made the icons defending herself-- "Thousands of Iraqi people THANKED him for what he did to free them from that monster, Saddam. Did you see the video of when they tore down that statue of Saddam? Did you see the happy faces of those children? How can YOU look at those videos of the people and children SMILING and holding pictures of President Bush and saying they LOVE him, and still be so hateful to him and your fellow Americans that back him up."

first, how rude is it to tell someone they're ignorant?! i mean, even though i disagree with people a lot of times (and think they're wrong) they are entitled to their own opinions.
secondly, " why don't you care about all the INNOCENT Iraqi people and people form Afghanistan who have been killed by our troops??" this is one of the things that just drives me crazy! why do these people think we're over there? we're not there to freakin' kill iraqi people!!! and since this girl thinks she knows all the 'facts' and is not 'stupid, ignorant and heartless' then she would know how many people their own gov't killed for no reason! sure, war sucks! i know it does, i wish there never were any wars. HOWEVER, their gov't needed to get the hell out of there. and america was the only country who could stand up and stop it. i don't know why people have no idea about how happy the iraqi people are that america has given them freedom for the first time and just as the girl said defending herself.
how can this girl say america is 'brutal' and 'the rest of the world would be so much better off if this stupid country was not around." ugggh!!! then she should go to a country with no freedom, where the people are afraid and the gov't has full control over their lives. i would love to see her go there. people think they're so informed and intelligent but they dont' see past themselves. this war is not for america!
it's so selfish to me. i've come across so many people that say our troops are getting killed, and innocent people over there are being killed, so we have to stop the war. i hate to break it to you, but this is what happens in war! believe me, i don't want any one to die! i mean, it's heart breaking to know people are getting killed. however, i have so much respect for the brave troops that are over there trying to think past themselves, thinking about other countries, fighting to give them the freedom and choices that we have.
why don't other people see that? i really don't know.

hm. interesting. she's saying america is so greedy and she apparently hates that about the country. well. i hate to tell her how greedy and selfish she sounds. by saying america needs to worry only about what goes on in america, she shows exactly how greedy americans can be. apparently we only want what's good for us. screw the rest of the world.
something i've realized over the past year or so is that i think everyone in the world wants the same thing. everyone wants to be happy and peaceful and everyone wants to get along. but the different ways people think we can acheive that are just so... different! haha. i mean wow. i guess that just goes to show how diverse the world is.
