ohhhh yes... it was a FAN-freaking-TASTIC show! :D :D :D
i'm gonna say right now that anyone who doesn't like them or thinks they suck should go to one of their shows. and THEN tell me they suck. cuz lordy they were amazing.
this show was SO much better than when i saw them in july.
the opening band ended up being As Tall As Lions, not We Are The Fury! hooray! so they were pretty good. the bassist creeped me out but ya know... it was a good opening band.
silverchair started out with Young Modern Station, as i predicted. i'm pretty sure they play it first every show. then i honestly have no idea what order they played things. here's the setlist in no particular order:
Young Modern Station
(the girl who took this video discovered later that the audio cut out whenever she zoomed. eek.)
emotion sickness (oh happiness! :D)
israel's son!!!!!! (i screamed my ass off when they started playing it. that song has such senitimental value for me :) and they didn't play it at my last show so yeah, it was very much enjoyed!)
reflections of a sound
ana's song (the first verse was very slow and VERY lovely. you'll see that part in the video. i like that they change things up to keep it interesting)
insomnia (blehhh... but at least they didn't play low!)
the greatest view (very enjoyable in concert because of "and i've got the greatest view from here" hehe. i DID have a great view :D hehe)
mind reader
(note that in this video, when daniel asks if he looks 'heaps sexy', one of those high pitched girly screams is me ;) hehehe...
also note, "party like it's 1994!" hahaha! WOO!)

wow. that doesn't seem like much. but that's probably because daniel was talking to damn much haha. but i won't complain because i thoroughly enjoyed it :D
he told the koala joke, surprise surprise. but it was extra funny because he was wearing stuff that people had thrown up on stage...
i love "what the f- are you doing here? full stop. [daniel realizes his error] question mark" hehehe.
at least if he's going to tell the joke every damn night, they made it interesting now with sound effects and whatnot...

also, they let a guy on stage! i'm getting jealous. in july they let a guy on stage to sing mind reader with them! when's MY turn! *hmph* hehehe...

what else was interesting?...
at some point during one of the songs, they were kinda just rockin out, and daniel goes "how about them apples?" hahaha. i love confident daniel. it's awesome.
they look like they're having such a great time up there. which makes me oh so very happy! it's about time :D
haha oh!, at the end of one of those videos, you'll hear daniel saying "yell for me 1 time!.... yell for me 2 times!..." he kept doing that... it was getting a little ridiculous... we could've heard more songs, but ya know whatever... so one time he said "scream for me at least but not limited to 4 times!" hahahha... and then he said 'scream for me one looooooooooooooooooooong...." and i was waiting for him to finish saying 'long' and i was getting my big breath and whatnot... and he finished it by saying "and sexually frustrated time!" and i let out a huge scream hahah. meghan looked at me like 'holy crap, what's wrong with you?!" and she goes 'did you hear that he said 'sexually frustrated?" hahahha. and i hadn't really paid attention to it. so it was hysterical... cuz i really screamed my ass off.... but then i was like ya know, i'm not gonna lie hahhahah...
so yeah. to sum up. AMAZING.
i'm hoping someone puts up some pics somewhere. and hopefully more video of actual songs instead of daniel talking and tiny song clips... we'll see!
