Good don't come to those who wait it shows up in the mailboxes of those who love and do not hesitate

It's been a year or so since I've written anything here and I'm not really sure what to write. 2007 was good for my soul. I found best friends in 2007 and then had to say goodbye to them for about 8 months. When Katie packed up her car an left in June I swear I shed a tear. I made lifelong friends in 2007 both at school and work. 2007 was filled with laughter and stress but also rejuvination and a renewed faith in myself. What to say? I think that last year I lived by the words of an excellent song of David McMillan "Love and do not hesitate." Sure, there were dissapointments but I overcame with love.
Spring semester of 2007 was great and I really came out of my shell and embraced the Hope College atmosphere. I really just love being around these people because they are compassionate. I learned a lot about life from just watching them live it with me. I did a lot of dancing which was such a great experience for me and I embraced new music and musicians (both literally and metaphorically). (shoutout to my boys in Paper Route (Salad Fingas) and TheBiv (Mitch my skateboarding lover from TN)) When you know who you are and where you want to go it is so nice to just be yourself for a change. It's refreshing to just let the world roll off my shoulders and enjoy the ride.
Summer was nice because I realized how much I love working at the YMCA. I complain from time to time but in the end there was no place I would rather be during the day. Education is my calling and apparantly I am decent at it and my creativity is appreciated because I got promoted to Activities Coordinator so I'm doing something right.
Went back to school and fell in love all over again with history and education. I actually loved going to classes and couldn't wait to hang out with my fellow history ed family. I mean family too. They became my best friends last semester and I don't know what I would have done without them. They pulled me through and inspired me on a daily basis to apply myself and show my cards.
I could try to express how much love I have flowing through my veins right now or how excited I am that 2008 is going to be my year of liberation and travel but I don't think I could do it justice. So cheers to 2008, the year of New York, Connecticut, Canada, the UP, graduation, England, promotions, and student teaching. I hope the rest of you love and learn as much as I hope to. If you want to hear what I would consider my playlist of albums of 2007 I urge you to download the following.
