This is the Original poem I wrote that Inspired the Lyrics to 21st Century Savage by Reaver.
21st Century Savage
I Can't stand to see the trends of people around me.
How little they know astounds me.
A world of Information at your Fingertips
and foolish Bullshit is all they spout from their lips.
Sacrifice Freedom for Safety.
For Comfort they surrender their Vitality.
Run to the Government for Shelter
Run to the Government for Food
There is no more bravery
Just people begging for slavery
I would have rather died in a War
Than Lived in this society
I never got To die in that War,
So now part of me dies everyday in this "Modern" society.
I love my friends, I love my friends, I love my friends... If I repeat it over and over long enough, Perhaps I will Remember that when i find out that i am morally Opposed to the things they say. It has been a Rough Day today, as it is Every Year after an Election. Seeing the People lining up for a hand out hurts me deep inside.
There are Core Philosophies and principles at stake here.
Capitalism vs Communism.
Individualism vs Collectivism
Existentialism vs Idealism
Darwin vs Malthus.
Objectivism vs Progressivism
Federalism vs Nationalism
Self Reliance vs Pragmatism
Excluding any Hints of Judeo-Christian Morality These Principles and Philosophies are all Associated with one Party or the Other, in Our Disgusting two Party system. They Are Organized Left vs Right all the Way down. With The Right on the Left and the left on the Right, becuase regardless of social indoctrination to think of things as left wing or right wing, I still think of Putting the Good Before the Bad.
There are more than 2 types of people, But Generally all can fall in to one of the broad categories. Would you rather Die on your Feet or Live on your Knees. In the End an Idealist is just a Pragmatist, and Pragmatists are the ones who said better Red than Dead.
Everyone makes a million arguments, and when they tailor the rules of the field they can win. But they have faulty rules. Their rules break down the second what they feel is theirs to be threatened, suddenly they revert to Human/Animal Nature. Fight or Flight. Except Now modern society has created a third response... Cower and conform.

The Pragmatist sees themselves somehow bargaining their way out of that death sentence, the pragmatic world is built on shades of grey and non absolutes. You can walk through the meaning of anything, when you create a system that eliminates meaning.
Property Rights are a Human Right, The Right to Self Defense is a human Right, The Right to Self Determination is a Human Right. The Current Policies of The Democrat Party are coming closer and closer to extinguishing those Rights.
There is no Right to Education, For to receive education someone must agree to educate. You Must Earn this thing.
There is No Right to healthcare, For this means someone must agree to care about your health. You Must Earn this thing.
There is no Right to Work, Someone Must Agree to Employ you. If you cannot come to the agreement needed for your employment, you will not work. Of course, if the employer cannot find employees willing to work for their terms, they will go out of business, or change their terms.
There is no Right to a House, Someone must agree to provide you with a house.
There is no Right to Food, You must find your own or someone must agree to provide you with food.
For all of these later "rights" People claim are Human Rights. Those Rights are Rights where to receive them, someone must agree to give them. For the government to provide these things they need money. Where do they get that money? Taxes and Fees. Do people agree to pay those taxes and fees? Sometimes, when they seem reasonable and fair. Do some people resent those taxes and fees? Yes, a great many people do, the reason they continue to pay them is fear of punishment.
The Chain of Punishment goes as follows.
Live a Good Life, become successful, Earn Property.
Government Takes property to pay for civic good.
You disagree with what is considered civic good.
You refuse to pay the taxes for things you disagree with.
The Government Comes to your House with Badges and Guns.
Now is your Next Choice Pay up... You have been Mugged.
Or Refusing to go with, Make a stand for what you know in your heart to be right?
The Pepper Spray, Night Sticks and Tasers come out. You have been Assaulted.
You are Bound with Steel and thrown in a Locked car and carried away to a locked room. You have been Kidnapped.
If You refuse to be kidnapped, the Guns May Come out. ... You Have been murdered.
Every Law the Government makes creates criminals. Any Human Right that makes a Criminal of Another Human Being is NOT a Right. It is a concession at best.
The Constant Blackmail against Success Is greed. Is the Businessman greedy for wanting to keep what he has earned? Or is the Government and the recipients of social good greedy for wanting to take it from them without earning it?

The Black mail is pay your taxes, no matter how high, pay your insurance no matter how high, Donate to charity half of what is left... Of the greedy people will call you a miserly tyrant and rise up against you. Welfare in any form is extortion collected from the rich to keep the poor in line. And Convincing half the population that it can receive something for nothing, while guilt tripping the other half in to resenting it's success is the sure way to create a Oligarchy where Corrupt Billionaire businessmen and Government officials live happily ever after and the rest of us beg for their leavings.
I would rather die than beg for those scraps. My Rights My Human Right to Be my own person, and not simply some consuming beast swinging from the nuts of some hiveminded beast are far more important to me than some psuedo rights granted to the people at the expense of others.
As for what seems to be the hot button pushing everyone to the Democrat party... Gay Marriage.
There is No Right To marry, Gay or Straight. The Government cannot dictate the terms of your heart. The concepts of a Government sanctioned emotional relationship should make free spirited individual sick. As I now approach the government for a second time asking them to release me and a woman from a contract we signed and vows we promised before our Highest ideals.
In a Disposable society, Love is just too fleeting a commodity and lovers to fickle to enter in to a contract with the government.
Should Nursing Homes and Hospitals simply Take you on your word that this friend of yours Means as much to you as Genetic Family? Of course they should. Do they need a Piece of paper? No... Its fuckin Ridiculous. If this silly Notion of Legal Marriage and the stress it causes in our Daily lives were gone... People would be a lot happier and freer. Maybe I am Jaded, and Love is a lasting commodity that can be regulated by the government. But I don't Want People like Janet Reno or Janet Napolitano Involved in my love life. If You want to get married, Go to Church and Tell God. Or Go to some Hippie and Get your hands tied together. I'm Sorry Atheists, but you don't believe in a spirit... so there is no spiritual power on earth or a representative ceremony worthwhile for you I suppose. I guess that is why secularists want the government to sanction love. They cannot go to anyone else for a sanction on their emotions, so the go to a courthouse, and have what boils down to be an imitation of a religious ceremony performed by a secular power. Just go get a power of Attorney.
