Overlooked

So I announced to both of My managers Past and Present that I desired an opportunity to interview for the upcoming Assistant manager Position at My store.

Well I asked Thomas Every Shift if he heard word from Our DM... My hopes were High... 3 Years Retail Experience, 8 Years of military/leadership experience. High Marks on all My military performance Evals for Knowledge, skill, professionalism and leadership. 1 year of Retail management Experience.

I never Got an Interview. Tonight I was introduced to My new Assistant manager. She has no Retail Management or leadership experience. She has no experience within Journey's. They Hired Externally Rather than promoting internally. We as Associates have to teach her how to stock shelves and sell shoes.

She Reprimanded me For Swearing on the Sales Floor I told her I was sorry, And warned her that I have Turrette's Syndrome and a Few other Issues that make impulse control of my words very difficult. She Demanded Proof, I told her it is Documented but I won't Show her the proof. She said "We'll Discuss it later" The Fuck we Will. Under the Privacy Act of 1974 and the HIPPA Act She has no right to demand my medical information. Frankly a Job making $6.55 and Hour with a 4% commission in a very low traffic mall... for 5 hours a week is not worth the hassle or embarrassment of Showing her my Mental health and Neurology Reports.

I could Push it to see if she would try to fire me... then press the issue via the American's with Disabilities Act.

See all that could have been avoided if they promoted from within, an employee who was worthy of respect and already knows me as a person. Or of course myself who happens to be half trained for the job and more than qualified. All this could have been avoided if they Hired someone with management experience who knows the laws regarding Workers with medical issues. I mean seriously any intelligent fucking person should have a clue about such things.

But rather than that... We are having a Mandatory Employee meeting tomorrow... So we are being forced to Drive to Work... for 30 minutes at most... Hopefully on the clock... because a half hour's pay after taxes approximately covers the gas I spend getting to Work and back. Most Likely 3 of the 4 Sales Associates will announce their 2 weeks notice, or just walk the fuck out depending on the tone and reason for the meeting. Who Knows maybe the New Girl will too..

$30 a Week isn't worth the heart ache and stress
